  • 1988: Establishment of the Foundation for buddhist studies
  • 1988-1992: Vinaya research by Bhiksuni Jampa Tsedroen (Carola Roloff) on behalf of the Foundation
  • 1990: Participation of Oliver Petersen in the International Seminar on Buddhist Translations: Problems and Perspectives 1990 Delhi (lecture on the Foundation dictionary project)
  • 1992: Publication of the results of the Vinaya Project Jampa Tsedroen
  • 1996: Purchase of the meditation house Semkye Ling in Lünzen/Schneverdingen
  • 1996: Opening of the Semkye Ling Meditation House (leased to the Tibetan Centre e.V.)
  • 2000: Decision to sell the meditation house (negotiations with the Tibetan Centre e.V. about a takeover)
  • 2006: Donation of H.H. Dalai Lama to the Foundation concerning the role of buddhist women in Sangha (Geshe training, full ordination)
